WAYNESBORO, VA - The historic Wayne Theatre invites audiences to celebrate the season with Scrooge!, the lively stage musical adapted by Leslie Bricusse, the Oscar-winning and Grammy-winning writer behind the 1970 film. This theatrical version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol blends spirited storytelling with richly arranged carols and features six songs not heard in the movie, offering a fresh and festive experience for all ages.
From Marley’s warning to the visits of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come, Scrooge! delivers heart, humor, and a rousing finale that sends audiences out humming. Perfect for families, the production balances holiday fun with the story’s timeless message of generosity and redemption.
