Two Performances on March 14, 2026, as Wayne Theatre celebrates both 100th and 10th Anniversaries
WAYNESBORO, VA - The Wayne Theatre will celebrate the weekend leading into St. Patrick’s Day with Andy Cooney’s Irish Celebration, a dynamic showcase of Irish music, tradition, comedy, and dance. Performances will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm at the historic Wayne Theatre in Downtown Waynesboro.
Heralded by The New York Times as “Irish America’s Favorite Son,” Andy Cooney has become one of the most beloved performers in Irish and Irish-American music. Known for his smooth tenor voice and authentic stage presence, Cooney has performed at world-renowned venues including Dublin’s National Concert Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall
Joining Cooney on stage will be acclaimed Irish comedian George Casey, celebrated for his sharp wit and charming storytelling honed over decades of performances from Las Vegas to Branson. The show also features The Guinness Irish Band, composed of some of the finest Irish musicians performing today, and the award-winning Emerald Fire Irish Dancers, known for their precision and artistry in traditional Irish dance
The historic Wayne Theatre’s 2026 season marks a major milestone: its 10th anniversary as an arts organization and its 100th anniversary as a theatre.
