2027 Junior Theater Festival

Auditions - August 11, 2026!

We will be bringing a team to perform excerpts from Beetlejuice, JR to Atlanta, GA to compete at Junior Theatre Festival (1/14/27-1/18/27).  We will audition for a team of no more than 20 student performers to travel with us!

This is a unique, ensemble-building experience to compete against teams from all over the world, hard work and dedication outside of the rehearsal space will be necessary.

Join us in 2027 at JTF Atlanta with adjudications, workshops, and one-of-a-kind mainstage events where all sorts of musical theater surprises are in store!

Costs:

Once you've made the team, please email Corey Holmes, Director or Education at education@waynetheatre.org and we will provide all of the details on costs associated with Junior Theater Festival, 2027. It will be a monthly payment that covers rehearsal time, registration for the conference, housing, food, and travel for the extended weekend in January!

Dates:

Rehearsals on Tuesdays - September 18th - December 15th, 2026, January 5th-7th, 2027, and January 11th-13th, 2027.

Travel, Conference, and Competition: January 14th-18th, 2027

About Junior Theater Festival:

The first Junior Theater Festival in 2003 was designed to see if educators and students would enjoy three days of a non-stop musical theatre celebration – and, after the first JTF Atlanta, the answer was an enthusiastic “yes”!
